San Antonio Police Apologize to LGBTQ+ Community After Jonathan Joss Murder

San Antonio police have issued an apology to the LGBTQ+ community following what they called a premature statement regarding the death of Jonathan Joss. The department acknowledged the misstep occurred before sufficient details was available.
Police Chief William McManus addressed the situation during a press conference, stating that homicide detectives are actively pursuing all leads to fully understand the circumstances surrounding Joss’s death. The investigation aims to provide a complete picture of the events leading up to the murder.
McManus also commented on claims made by Tristan, Joss’s partner, that their home was destroyed in an anti-gay hate crime. He confirmed that arson investigators are collaborating closely with law enforcement, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Authorities confirmed they had received approximately 70 calls over two years from both Joss and his neighbors concerning neighborhood disturbances.
“We shouldn’t have done it. It was way too soon before we had any real information. And I will own that… I wont to apologize to the LGBTQ+ community for the tragic loss of Mr. Joss,wich has been heavily felt,” McManus saeid.
