Judicial Branch: Minister Norma Piña accepts dialogue with senators on trusts

Minister Norma Lucía Piña Hernández, President of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), agreed to speak with senators of the Republic, to establish its position regarding the disappearance of 13 trusts of the Judicial Branch.

Piña Hernández also asked the senators “define the regulatory framework on which this call is based.”

With this, he responded to the invitations made to him, first, by Senator Alejandro Rojas Díaz Durán, from Morena, and then this Sunday by Julen Rementeria, coordinator of the PAN, and Manuel Añorve, coordinator of the PRI.

Through a joint statement from the SCJN and the Federal Judiciary Council (CJF), Minister Piña Hernández highlighted “that dialogue has been a priority as shown with the request to the Chamber of Deputies.”

The also President of the CJF, requested that her firm disposition be communicated with the Board of Directors and the Political Coordination Board, to be included in this urgent deliberation, “this with the purpose of ensuring that the dialogue between powers takes place through the appropriate and competent institutional channel, as well as guaranteeing that this exchange is with the political plurality that is represented in the Congress of the Union, specifically, in the Senate of the Republic”.

The invitations from official and opposition senators are for this Tuesday, so he is expected to attend.
