Christa Deguchi, the 28-year-old judoka who recently won the gold medal in the women’s 57 kg judo competition at the Paris Olympics, took to social media to share a rather unexpected update. On the 10th, Deguchi posted a photo of herself with a perfect expression, revealing that she had an incident with the bento she ate while traveling.

On her Instagram story, Deguchi wrote, “The omelet in the bento I just ate was 98% rotten. The moment my brain told me that this tasted bad, I had already swallowed half of it.” She also added, “Please look forward to what I’ll be like tomorrow.” The same photo was posted on X (formerly Twitter), where she expressed her amazement at the reaction of the human body, “Humans are amazing, if the taste is strange the body rejects it (gluttony can backfire).”

In her interactions with followers, Deguchi responded with comments such as, “I love tamagoyaki (rolled omelet), so I saved it for last…and if the tamagoyaki (rolled omelet) has gone bad, it’s highly likely that everything else I’ve eaten has gone bad as well, so I’ll almost certainly be a toilet fanatic tomorrow.” She also mentioned, “Research has shown that a strong stomach = a strong mind and body! We’ll see what happens!” At the time of posting, it seemed that she had not yet noticed anything unusual.

Followers responded with comments such as “Sadness,” “Your face,” “Eggs are scary,” “Take your medicine,” and “Take care.” The incident provided a glimpse into the life of a gold medalist, showcasing her sense of humor and ability to connect with her fans.
