Actor Ryoma Takeuchi (31) made a surprise appearance on TBS’s ”The Ultimate Two-Choice Show High & Low Black Pean: All Stars vs. Olympic Gold Medalist” on September 15th. He stunned his co-stars by winning a power contest against a judo gold medalist.
Ahead of the final episode of the network’s Sunday Drama “Black Pean Season 2”, an emergency special featured lead actor Ninomiya Kazunari and other cast members taking on various challenges, including a multiple-choice quiz, on live broadcast.
In the “One-on-one Tug-of-War with Four People” competition between “Olympian” and “Team Black Pean”, judo gold medalist Abe Hifumi appeared. A physical challenge ensued in which participants had to predict whether Abe could defeat all four “high” opponents or three or less “low” opponents in a tug-of-war within 30 seconds.
The platform on which the challengers of “Team Black Pean” stood was one meter in diameter. Abe, on the other hand, was handicapped, standing on a platform with a diameter of 50 centimeters, but he knocked down Kotaro Koizumi, Kim Mu-jun, and Ninomiya of the “Black Pean Team” one after another right from the start.
However, the fourth person to appear, Takeuchi, pulled the rope with force and Abe was defeated. “He pulled (the rope) hard twice. I lost my balance and switched my foot…” he said regretfully.
While the other co-stars in the studio were surprised at the unexpected result and exclaimed, “Amazing!”, Takeuchi confessed to Abe, “I really love you.” The two exchanged a warm hug, further raising the excitement.
