Justice Delayed: Libyan Prosecutors Seek Trial of Officer Accused of Bungling Murder Investigation
Libya’s Public Prosecution Seeks Prosecution of Officer in Botched Investigation
Libya’s public prosecution has requested the prosecution of an officer of the Public Security Service and Security Station, who botched an investigation into the killing of a citizen blamed on his colleague.
The prosecution’s decision came after they decided to send a citizen’s murder case, in which a member of the agency was accused, to the justice department.
The Public Prosecution explained in a statement that this decision was made after the Deputy Public Prosecutor, Bab bin Ghashir, at the District Prosecution, completed the investigation process into the murder of the citizen, Abdel-Mahmin Ezzedine Al-Fallah.
The statement further explained that the Public Prosecution Authority decided to file a public case - about the murder – in court, in the face of the level of the Public Security Service and the security position.
