BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – A juvenile is in custody after allegedly stabbing another juvenile in Converse, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the stabbing just before 1 p.m. Monday in the 6200 block of Tadpole Bluff. The victim’s condition remained unknown as of Tuesday night.
The detained juvenile faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, authorities said. Due to the ages of those involved, the sheriff’s office stated they are unable to release further details at this time.
The incident has prompted an ongoing investigation. This stabbing comes amid other recent incidents involving youth violence in the San Antonio area. On Monday, News 4 San Antonio reported the minor was detained approximately 18 hours prior to the report.
Separately, a 14-year-old boy was fatally shot on the Northeast Side, and a juvenile suspect was detained in that case, according to WOAI.
