Kacey Musgraves and Intocable Team Up for Spanish-Language Version of Uncertain, TX

Kacey Musgraves is expanding her musical reach by releasing an entirely Spanish-language version of her song Uncertain, TX, teaming up with norteño and Tejano group Intocable, according to reporting from Billboard.

Collaborating Across the Texas Border With Intocable

The re-recording pairs Musgraves with Intocable, blending the track’s original country and cumbia foundation with the group’s norteño and Tejano instrumentation. Unlike the original version featuring Willie Nelson, this rendition is sung entirely in Spanish. Musgraves expressed enthusiasm for the partnership in a statement reported by Billboard, highlighting the cultural significance of her home state. Having a song with the legends of Intocable is such a thrill for me, Musgraves said. As a Texan, I am proud of the cultural melting pot that makes our state so great and this collaboration is such a fun example of that.

Chart Performance and Landmark Milestones

The original recording of Uncertain, TX established a strong commercial footprint prior to the Spanish-language release, debuting at No. 50 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart with 2.4 million U.S. streams, according to Luminate data. That track contributed to the successful launch of Musgraves’ parent release, Middle of Nowhere, which opened at No. 2 on the Top Country Albums chart. The group also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and added to a catalog that features 15 No. 1 hits on Billboard’s Top Regional Mexican Albums chart and 21 No. 1s on Regional Mexican Airplay.

Touring Schedules Across North America

As the collaboration launches, Musgraves continues her 34-date Middle of Nowhere Tour. The itinerary features upcoming Texas homecoming performances in Houston, Austin, and Dallas, following sold-out arena engagements at Chicago’s United Center and New York City’s Madison Square Garden.
