Protecting Wild Animals: Kaifeng Yellow River Irrigation District Affairs Center Launches Publicity Campaign

On September 5, the Kaifeng Yellow River Irrigation District Affairs Center initiated a publicity campaign with the theme “Caring for Wild Animals and Refusing to Eat Wild Animals” to raise awareness among cadres and employees about the importance of protecting wild animals and refusing to consume them.

The campaign aims to promote the National People’s Congress’ decision to comprehensively ban illegal wildlife trade and the consumption of wild animals. By advocating for the concept of caring for and protecting wild animals and harmonious coexistence between humans and nature, the center seeks to eradicate the bad habit of indiscriminate consumption of wild animals and effectively protect the lives, health, and safety of the people.

During the campaign, on-site explanations highlighted the significance of the decision to ban the consumption of wild animals. The awareness of cadres and employees to protect wild animals “starting from myself and starting from the table” was enhanced, encouraging them not to eat wild animals indiscriminately and to prohibit the consumption of wild animals such as wild ducks and pangolins. This initiative aims to establish a new trend of civilized eating habits.

By working together to protect wild animals and refusing to eat them, the center hopes to create a positive impact on the environment and promote a culture of conservation and sustainability.
