KAMIGATA BOYZ Unites for a Memorable Summer Festival

KAMIGATA BOYZ, the strongest unit of Kansai artists belonging to STARTO ENTERTAINMENT, held their first concert titled “DREAM ISLAND 2024” at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka. The event brought together a total of 106 people, including SUPER EIGHT, WEST, Naniwa Danshi, Ae! group, and Kansai Junior.

A Summer Festival Full of “Kamigata Spirit”

The summer festival, which combined glitter, coolness, and comicality, was enjoyed by 110,000 people over two days. The production was mainly devised by SUPER EIGHT’s Tadayoshi Okura and WEST’s Nozomu Kotaki. The show was filled with “emotional” songs filled with the history, sweat, and tears of the Kansai group.

A Celebration of SUPER EIGHT’s 20th Anniversary

This day was also the 20th anniversary of SUPER EIGHT’s debut. During the MC, at the signal of WEST’s Kotaki, the fans shouted “Congratulations on the 20th anniversary of SUPER EIGHT!” in unison to give a surprise celebration to the members. A cake decorated with portraits of the members was also placed on the stage.

A Night to Remember

The concert featured a medley of summer songs by senior groups and a shuffle corner that combined debut and junior members, leading to a climax with “Eejanaika” and “Zukkoke Otokomichi.” During the performance of their new song “Sekai ga Akari terashimasho” released on the 18th, 800 fireworks literally lit up the night sky.

A Message from the Artists

Ryosuke Shomen of Ae! group said, “As Ae! group, we are able to spend this time with our seniors and friends in our debut year as ‘Team Kansai’, and I think it will become a lifelong memory.” Naniwa Danshi’s Daigo Nishihata also said, “I want to continue to work hard, dreaming that we can meet again someday as KAMIGATA BOYZ.”
