London, UK - Actress Kate Beckinsale has announced the death of her beloved mother, Judy Loe, who passed away at the age of 78. Beckinsale, 51, shared the devastating news in an emotional Instagram post, revealing that her mother died “in my arms after immeasurable suffering.”
While Beckinsale did not disclose the specific cause of death in her initial declaration, she had shared last year that her mother had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. the actress expressed her profound grief, stating, “I am paralysed. Jude was the compass of my life, the love of my life, my dearest freind.”
Beckinsale felt compelled to share the news publicly, noting that she had to register her mother’s death certificate. In 1997, Judy Loe remarried television director Roy Battersby. Battersby passed away in January 2024 at the age of 87, following a brief illness.
