Kate Middleton apologizes for an edited family photo that was deleted by news agencies Mix

Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, apologized for the “confusion” caused by a family photo published by Kensington Palace on the occasion of Mother’s Day in the United Kingdom, then deleted due to suspicions that some of its details had been subjected to digital manipulation.

Middleton said in a statement published on the “X” platform today, Monday, “Like many amateur photographers, I sometimes experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion caused by the family photo we shared yesterday. I hope everyone celebrating Mother’s Day is happy.” very”.

In her first appearance since undergoing abdominal surgery about two months ago, Kate published a family photo yesterday that received about 50 million views, saying, “Thank you for your good wishes and continued support over the past two months. I wish everyone a happy Mother’s Day.”

International news agencies were forced to remove the photo taken by Prince William in Windsor last week and published to the media through Kensington Palace in London on the occasion of Mother’s Day, due to suspicions that some of its details had been subjected to digital manipulation, according to what the British newspaper “The Telegraph” reported.

The agencies “Getty”, “French”, “Reuters” and “Associated Press” removed the photo of Middleton with her three children: Prince George (10 years old), Louis (5 years old), and Princess Charlotte (8 years old), noting that there was an “inconsistency in the alignment of the hand.” The left one belongs to the princess with the sleeve of her jacket.”

Britain’s National Press Association news agency, which is often the first outlet to obtain and report information and photos from the royal family, said it would also delete the photo.

After undergoing abdominal surgery, Kate (42 years old) left the hospital on January 29 for her home in Adelaide Cottage near Windsor. The palace did not reveal details about the nature of the surgery performed on the princess, but confirmed that it was not related to cancer.

Kate’s recovery from surgery and her absence from the public eye coincided with Buckingham Palace’s announcement that King Charles III had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing treatment.

While no firm date has been set for her return to public duties, she was scheduled to recover until at least Easter on March 31.

Kate was born on January 9, 1982, in the city of Reading, Berkshire, England.

She attended preparatory school and then transferred to the prestigious Marlborough College in Wiltshire, where Catherine (then called Kate Middleton) was known as a serious student and excelled in athletics, as she was captain of the school’s field hockey team.

In 2001, Middleton enrolled at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, where she studied art history while working part-time as a waitress.

After graduating from university in 2005, she worked briefly in retail clothing stores, and later took on various roles in her parents’ company while performing a range of charitable work.

Their engagement was announced in November 2010. In preparation for joining the royal family, Middleton reverted to the more formal name of Catherine.

The royal wedding was held on April 29, 2011 at Westminster Abbey in London, and she received the title of Duchess of Cambridge.

In September 2022, Queen Elizabeth II died and Charles III took her place. His son William became crown prince and Catherine became Princess of Wales, a title previously held by her mother-in-law, the late Princess Diana.

Like Diana, Catherine is known for her relatability and is often ranked among the most popular members of the royal family.
