M. Kavya, a prominent figure in Tamil Nadu politics, is the daughter of Sun Group Chairman Kalanidhi Maran and the son-in-law of the late Chief Minister Karunanidhi. Rajinikanth chose this esteemed occasion to open up to Kalanidhi, who also co-owns the Sunrisers team, and encouraged him to recruit exceptional players for the franchise.

Maran’s presence at various IPL matches had drawn significant attention, with her appearances frequently gaining traction in viral media. Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Kavya is the son of Karunanidhi’s son-in-law and Union Minister Murasholi Maran and daughter of Sun Group Chairman Kalanidhi Maran. Rajinikanth opened his mind in the presence of Kalanidhi, who is also the co-owner of Sunrisers. Rajinikanth also asked him to bring more good players to the team.
