KB Non-Life Insurance announced on the 29th that it will be holding an ’embedded insurance new product college student idea contest’ for college students.

‘Embedded insurance’ refers to an insurance product that is purchased in connection with a transaction of products or services on a third-party platform other than the insurance company’s website or app. For example, representative examples include damage coverage services and warranty period extension services that customers who purchase electronic products from an online shopping mall can select and sign up for when purchasing electronic products.

The contest will run from April 30 to May 13, and any college student nationwide (including students on leave of absence) can participate. You can apply as an individual or as a team of three or fewer people. Applications for the contest can be made starting at 9 a.m. on the 30th. All you have to do is fill out and register according to the guide form posted on the contest menu on the KB Insurance website.

The company awards the teams that presented excellent ideas with the grand prize (5 million won, 1 team), the grand prize (3 million won, 2 teams), and the excellence award (1 million won, 3 teams). In addition, the winners will be given preferential points in KB Insurance’s new employee recruitment review, and the results will be announced in the last week of May.

An official from KB Insurance said, “We will continue to make efforts to expand partnerships with various platforms related to embedded insurance and to launch new products and services.”
