Heo Woong and Kim Seon-hyung meet.
On the 17th, the 2021 MG Saemaeul Geumgo KBL Cup semifinal schedule was held at Sangju Indoor Gymnasium.
The teams that will face each other in the final have been decided. DB and SK.
DB took the lead in the semi-final against Hyundai Mobis with three stores leading the way. He threw 24 three-pointers, and a whopping 13 split the rim. The success rate was 54%.
Heo Woong did a great job as an ace. He recorded 10 assists and achieved a double-double with 20 points and 10 assists. Leonard Freeman, who played an active part in the match against Korea Gas Corporation, also overpowered the match against Hyundai Mobis Rashon Thomas with 27 points and 12 rebounds.
SK also secured tickets to the finals. After a bloody battle, they defeated KT, who had shown good performance in this cup, in the semifinals.
Kim Seon-hyung threw a whopping 30 points, including four 3-pointers, and destroyed KT’s defense. Jamil Warney also averaged 19 points and six rebounds.
DB and SK faced each other in the championship game of the 2017-2018 season. In the 2019-2020 season, which ended prematurely due to the corona situation, they also took first place side by side.
Heo Woong and Kim Seon-hyeong’s new and old guard battles are also something to watch. In this competition, Heo Woong is playing an ace-like performance and is leading the rise of the DB. Kim Seon-hyung, who has become a veteran in his 10th year of debut, is also showing good condition and performance.
The final between DB and SK will be held in Sangju on the 18th at 2pm.
