Agnes Tirop, a Kenyan world-record 10km runner, was murdered in her home. with her husband being the main suspect.
British newspaper Daily Mail said, citing local media, that 25-year-old Tirop was found dead at his home in Iten, Kenya on October 13, with injuries sustained by his. There is a sharp stab in the abdomen and neck.
Local police chief Tom Macori said of the case: “When[police]entered the house, they found Tirop in bed, and there was a pile of blood on the floor. They saw her stabbed in the neck. which leads us to believe it was a knife wound. and believe that is the cause of death.”

Macori also said her husband was the main suspect in the case. After disappearing without a trace “A preliminary investigation revealed that her husband was the suspect because he could not be found. The police are trying to find her husband so he can explain what happened to Tirop.”
Tirop is one of Kenya’s most famous whirlwinds. After just setting a world record for women’s 10km running with a time of 30 minutes 1 second in the Road to Record competition in Germany last September. including competing in the 2020 Olympic Games, women’s 5,000-meter sprint, before finishing in 4th place
