Merculo’s tweet states that the club in the Chinese league had approached him to acquire Vazquez, but the player turned down the offer.
The tweet also hints that a decision on Alvaro, who has yet to reach an agreement with any club in India, will be made within the next two days.
Alvaro has played 23 matches for the Kerala Blasters, scoring eight goals. Vazquez has been a key player in the Blasters’ forward line with Pereira Diaz this season.
The Kerala Blazers may try to retain Vazquez, who can capitalize on even half-chances. Because of the strength of Alvaro’s performance last season, the Yellows reached the final of the ISL.
