Cooch Behar Trophy: Kerala Secures Innings Win
Kalpatta: In a dominating display, Kerala emerged victorious over Assam in the Cooch Behar cricket match held at Krishnagiri, clinching an innings win by a margin of 102 runs.
Kerala’s Abhiram delivered a stellar performance with five wickets, dismantling Assam’s first innings for a mere 96 runs. This set the stage for Kerala to take a commanding 104-run lead in the first innings, with Pawan Sridhar scoring 57 and captain Ahmed Imran contributing 52, bringing the team’s total to 200/5 on the first day.
The momentum continued into the second day, as Muhammad Inan’s 58 runs bolstered Kerala’s first innings to a commendable 345 runs. In response, Vijay S. Vishwanath and Jishnu orchestrated a strong bowling performance, each claiming four wickets, effectively limiting Assam’s innings to 147 runs and securing the victory for Kerala.
With this win, Kerala secured 7 points and continued their winning streak, following their triumph over Haryana in the previous match at Krishnagiri. Next up, Kerala will take on Saurashtra in their upcoming match at Krishnagiri starting from December 8.

Kerala got 7 points. In the first match at Krishnagiri also, Kerala defeated Haryana and scored 7 points. Kerala will face Saurashtra in the next match at Krishnagiri from December 8.
