Kochi: High Court action on petition of 15 members expelled by Kerala University Governor. The High Court prevented the Governor from nominating new members. He directed the court to produce the documents relating to the expulsion of the members and explained that the Governor had the right to examine the jurisdiction.

Earlier, the governor had withdrawn 15 senators from the university. As Chancellor, he withdrew the members nominated by him. The members who abstained from the Senate meeting were disqualified from proposing the Kerala University representative to the VC selection committee.
