Updated June 8, 2025
A planned celebration for the Davis brothers turned sour in Norfolk, Va., after a backstage incident involving Keyshawn Davis and Nahir albright.the drama unfolded Saturday night at Scope Arena, following AlbrightS victory over Kelvin Davis.
The evening was already turbulent for Keyshawn Davis, who was stripped of his WBO lightweight title after missing weight, leading to the cancellation of his main event fight against Edwin De Los Santos. While Keon Davis secured a win earlier in the night,Kelvin’s loss to Albright set the stage for further conflict.
After his upset victory, Nahir Albright claims he was attacked by Keyshawn and Keon Davis backstage. Albright, speaking with ESPN’s Mark Kriegel, alleged he was “jumped” by the Davis brothers and showed visible marks from the altercation, including swelling around his right eye.
“They started walking up to me all tough, putting his head against mine, and then grabbed me,” Albright told Kriegel, describing the incident. He further stated that Keyshawn head-butted him and is considering legal action.
The Davis brothers declined to comment on the alleged altercation.
This isn’t the first time Keyshawn Davis and Nahir Albright have clashed. Davis previously defeated Albright in 2023, but the result was overturned after Davis tested positive for marijuana. Albright sees the recent events as further motivation for a rematch, stating, “Keyshawn, you gotta run it back with me — in the ring, not outside of the ring.” the missed weight and subsequent altercation add fuel to the fire for a potential future showdown between Davis and Albright.
