Kicking it into High Gear: Saioh Co., Ltd. Presents the Unstoppable Walking Football Challenge
Walking Football Challenge: A Fun and Inclusive Event for All Ages
On Saturday, September 21st, Saioh Co., Ltd., a valued partner of Omiya Ardija, hosted a “Walking Football Challenge” at Omiya Budokan. This unique event was organized in collaboration with the Saitama Sports Commission and aimed to promote a fun and accessible form of soccer that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities.
Walking football is a type of soccer that eliminates the need for running, making it an ideal activity for those who are new to the sport or have limited mobility. The event attracted 44 participants, who came together to enjoy a day of exercise, socialization, and friendly competition.
The day began with a warm-up session, featuring hip stretches and other gentle exercises to get participants moving. This was followed by a series of fun and interactive drills, including passing and shooting practice. The participants were then divided into five teams, each comprising a mix of ages and abilities, to compete in a series of games.
The event was a huge success, with participants of all ages enjoying the opportunity to play together and learn from one another. The atmosphere was lively and supportive, with plenty of smiles and laughter throughout the day. Many participants expressed their enthusiasm for the event, with one commenting, “It was fun. I’d like to do it again.”
Omiya Ardija is committed to contributing to the development of the local community through a variety of sports-centered activities. The club’s philosophy is centered around creating a better local community where dreams and excitement can be shared through sports. The Walking Football Challenge is just one example of the club’s efforts to promote inclusivity and accessibility in sports.
Special thanks to our partners, Futsal Omiya, for their cooperation and support in making this event a success.
