Fans awaiting the release of Killing Floor III will have to wait longer.Tripwire Interactive announced that the game’s launch, initially set for March 25, has been pushed back to later in 2025. A specific new release date remains unconfirmed.
The progress team cited the need to address feedback received during the beta phase as the primary reason for the delay. This decision aims to ensure a polished and optimized gaming experience upon release.
According to the announcement, the delay will allow the developers to “address many of the common issues players had during the beta.” These issues reportedly include performance and stability concerns, user interface and experience enhancements, lighting improvements, and weapon feel adjustments.
Official Statement
The development team released a statement regarding the delay:
We have taken the decision to postpone the launch of Killing Floor III to a later, as-yet-unspecified date in 2025.
After taking the time to gather and analyze the feedback from our recent Closed Beta, we realized that we had missed our target. Our goal is not only to make Killing Floor III an enterprising step forward for the franchise, but also to retain the core experience that you know and love.
With the full support of our parent company Embracer Group, we are working together on a timeline to address many of the common issues players had during the beta, including performance/stability, UI/UX, lighting, and weapon feel. While it is too early to say which fixes will be implemented by launch, we can confirm that an update allowing you to independently select your perk class and character is planned post-release.
We look forward to another chance to show you a more polished build of Killing Floor III, and when we are ready to share more details, you will be the first to know. Until then, we thank you for your continued patience and unwavering support.
The team concluded by expressing gratitude for the community’s patience and support.
