Kim Byung-man‘s Insurance Controversy

Kim Byung-man, a broadcaster, faces allegations from his ex-wife, who claims he assaulted her. He denies these accusations. Recently, it was revealed that his ex-wife has taken out 24 life insurance policies in his name.

In a YouTube video, lawyer Lim Sara discussed the situation. She stated that Kim Byung-man is shocked by his ex-wife’s claims, especially since they arose while concluding their divorce case. Lim suggested that Kim may be struggling with unpaid debts, which could influence his emotional state.

Most of the life insurance policies are death insurance, with beneficiaries including his ex-wife, biological daughters, and adopted daughters. Kim Byung-man had no knowledge of these policies until the divorce proceedings began. It was during the financial disclosure process that both parties learned about each other’s assets.

Lim mentioned that while Kim was filming overseas during his ex-wife’s allegations, it was challenging for him to manage the situation. He confirmed that Kim’s adopted daughter is now a college student.

Finally, Lim emphasized that Kim Byung-man was not in Korea on the day of the alleged assault, supporting his claim with immigration records. He noted that previous domestic violence claims had already been prosecuted.
