Kindergarten Teacher Arrested for Child Abuse: Pen Attack in rawang
A 30-year-old kindergarten teacher in Rawang is in police custody following allegations of child abuse. The teacher is accused of injuring a 6-year-old girl with a pen at a kindergarten located in Kota Emerald.
Asst. Comm. Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir, Gombak OCPD, stated that the arrest occurred at 2 p.m. friday. Authorities also seized pens and a CCTV recorder from the kindergarten as part of the ongoing examination into the child abuse incident.
The alleged abuse came to light when the girl’s father noticed a head injury on his daughter around 10 a.m. on Monday. According to ACP Noor Ariffin, the girl told her father that a teacher had struck her with a pen at the kindergarten.
The girl was examined at Selayang Hospital,where doctors confirmed a soft tissue injury. Following this confirmation, the 34-year-old father filed a police report Thursday night.
The case is currently under investigation according to Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001.
