King Charles III Makes First Public Appearance Since Announcing Cancer Diagnosis

England’s King Charles III attracts attention after attending Easter service and making public appearance after suffering from cancer

(AFP, Windsor, UK, 31st) Britain’s King Charles III attended an Easter service today, his most visible public appearance since announcing he was suffering from cancer earlier this year.

Agence France-Presse reported that King Charles III and his wife Queen Camilla arrived at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle in west London by car.

Charles, 75, dressed in a light blue suit and tie, smiled and waved to the crowd before entering the church. People queued for hours to catch a glimpse of the ailing queen.

Charles III and Camilla greeted supporters lining up outside after the service, shaking hands with some in the crowd and chatting briefly.

Participating in this annual religious ceremony is a long-standing tradition of the British royal family, and other members of the royal family were also present at today’s service.

However, the heir to the throne, Prince William, and his wife Kate, Princess of Wales, aged 42, are absent this year. It was only last week that the news broke that she has cancer and is undergoing treatment for this meal

Two of the oldest members of the British royal family are seriously ill at the same time, and this situation has created an unprecedented crisis for the contemporary royal family.
