OK Financial Group’s Golf Scholarship Program Yields Champions

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — The OK Scholarship Foundation announced Thursday that its OK Golf Scholarship program is producing top-tier talent on the Korea Women’s Professional Golf (KLPGA) tour. The scholarship, designed too cultivate promising Korean women golfers, provides recipients with opportunities to compete in the ‘OK savings Bank Man Open’ and receive up to 20 million won annually.
KLPGA Success Stories
The foundation highlighted the recent successes of its scholarship recipients on the KLPGA Tour. At the Nexen and St. Nine Masters 2025, which concluded April 20, a sixth-generation OK golf scholar secured their first win of the season and third championship overall. Earlier in April, Lee Yewon claimed a championship title at the KLPGA Tour’s opening event.
Kim Min-sol, also a sixth-generation scholarship recipient, recently achieved consecutive victories on the KLPGA Dream Tour. Kim Ga-young, a fourth-generation scholar, also saw her scholarship boosted with the Dream Tour’s opening.
Oh Soo-min and jung Min-seo, participants in the ‘Ogger Star National Women’s Amateur,’ are also identified as OK golf scholars.
OK Financial Group’s Investment in Golf
OK Financial Group supports golf through various initiatives. Since 2010, the company has hosted the annual OK Financial Group 읏 Man Open.The group has also sponsored professional golfer Lee Tae-hee since 2011 and supported Kim Woo-jung, an early participant in the OK golf scholarship program.

Choi Yun-yun, chairman of OK Financial Group, expressed pride in the program’s success. “We feel rewarded and responsible for seeing OK golf scholars who are very active on the domestic and international stage and raising the status of Korea,” Choi said.
