Sister Maria de Coppi, a member of the Componia group of apostolic nuns, was killed in the African place of Mozambique.
On Tuesday night (06/09/22), unidentified gunmen set fireplace to the house of the Gombonia neighborhood in Chipene and shot and killed the 84-year-old nun Maria de Coppi from Veneto, Italy. Two monks and two nuns who were being there escaped from this attack.
Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, president of the Italian Catholic Bishops’ Convention, expressed his condolences on the killing of Sister Maria de Coppi.
