Pacific League Softbank-Orix: Kensuke Kondo Suffers Injury in 4th Inning

Softbank outfielder Kensuke Kondo (31) suffered an injury to his right leg while running the bases in the fourth inning of the game against the Orix held at the Kyocera Dome on September 16, 2024.

With two outs in the 4th inning, tied 0-0, Kondo reached base with his second hit of the day to center field and managed to steal second in the next at-bat of No. 6 Masaki. However, when he slipped, he appeared to have twisted his right leg, and there was a scene where he appeared to be in pain and collapsed clutching his leg. With the help of the trainers, he temporarily went behind the dugout for treatment.
