The Korea Banks Federation announced on the 15th that it has prepared a joint support plan of 3 billion won with the banking sector to successfully host the ‘2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympic Games’, which is about a month away.

‘Gangwon 2024’, which will be held in the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Pyeongchang, Gangneung, Jeongseon, and Hoengseong) from January 19 to February 1 next year, is the first Winter Youth Olympic Games to be held in Asia.

It is characterized by increased sustainability by inheriting facilities and the legacy of the ‘Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics’.

This is the biggest event ever with over 1,900 athletes from over 80 countries taking part, and will not only include sporting competitions for athletes, but also cultural and educational programs to broaden the experiences of youth from all countries.
