Regarding the extension of the Major Accident Law to all workplaces with between 5 and 50 employees, Son Kyung-sik, president of the Korea Federation of Korean Industries, said: “It was because there was a lack of culture of compromise in work matters. “

At the New Year’s press conference held today (29), President Son said: “It is unfortunate that the bill suspending the Serious Injury Law for workplaces with fewer than 50 employees was not passed despite appeals of the business community”.

He continued: “If there is a major disaster and the CEO of a small business is arrested, the business will collapse and people will lose their jobs,” and added: “We will continue to demand changes to the law.”
