As the early voting date for the general elections to the 22nd National Assembly approaches, last-minute campaigning between government and opposition parties is intensifying.
The People Power Party appeals for votes in Seoul and the southern Gyeonggi metropolitan area, while the Democratic Party of Korea visits the Buul-Gyeong and Yeongnam regions.

Today, a day before early voting, Han Dong-hoon, chairman of the People Power Party’s general election committee, began mobilizing supporters and encouraging voter participation.

“From now on, if you vote, we win. If you don’t give up and get out, the criminals win. It’s very clear. Please go to the polls.”
President Han, who visited eastern Seoul in the morning and stressed that “the ‘good citizens’ must defeat the ‘criminals'”, plans to visit Suwon, Osan and Pyeongtaek in Gyeonggi Province in the afternoon.
Lee Jae-myeong, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, who is campaigning in the Yeongnam region for the second day, also called for a vote, saying: “We cannot hand over legislative power to the ruling party.” .

“If we lose in a narrow district, the majority of seats could be transferred to the national power. There are only two things that are important now: ‘If you vote, you win, and if you give up, you lose’. All of them.”
In the afternoon we will set off to conquer rugged terrain such as Ulsan and Daegu.
Among the 254 electoral districts, the Democratic Party is analyzing 110 areas where it is dominant and about 50 areas where it is competitive, and is making every effort to gather votes, judging it advantageous if the turnout exceeds 65%.
Early voting will be held at 3,565 polling stations nationwide from 6am to 6pm every day for two days starting tomorrow, and voters will be able to vote anywhere as long as they bring their ID.
