Kochi : Kothamangalam: A man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of Manasa, a dental college house surgeon in Nellikuzhi, Kothamangalam. The accused was arrested from Bihar. The arrest was made under the leadership of Kothamangalam SI.
Sonu Kumar Modi, a native of Khapra Tara in Munger district of Bihar, was arrested. Kothamangalam police arrested the accused with the help of Bihar police. The accused was nabbed by a team of three policemen led by Kothamangalam SI Mahin.

The accused has been produced before the Munger Judicial Magistrate’s Court and a transit warrant has been obtained. He will be brought to Kerala soon and further questioned. There are reports that Rakhil was brought to Sonu by an Uber driver. The search for Eyal continues.

The case is being investigated by a special inquiry team. Police found that Rakhil was an introvert. According to relatives, Rakhil did not talk to anyone much.

Rakhil and Manasa met on Instagram. He later fell in love. But in the ensuing trouble, the victims parted ways. The issue was later resolved with the mediation of the Kannur DySP in the case of Rakhil’s harassment.
