Thiruvananthapuram: Kovid has confirmed 41,668 cases in the state today. During the last 24 hours, 95,218 samples were tested. Of the 17,053 people who were diagnosed and treated, the disease was cured. It has been confirmed today that 33 deaths in the last few days were due to Kovid.
There are currently 3,55,438 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 3,47,666 are under home / institutional quarantine and 7,772 in hospitals. A total of 1139 people were newly admitted to the hospital. In addition, 73 deaths have been reported which have been appealed by the Central Government under the new guidelines of the Supreme Court. This brings the total death toll in the state to 51,607.

With this, 2,23,548 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 52,76,647 have so far been freed from Kovid. Today, 139 of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the state. 36,693 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 4468 is not clear. 368 health workers were affected by the disease. Currently, out of 2,23,548 Kovid cases, only 3 per cent are admitted to hospitals / field hospitals.
