KT and SK Broadband Offer Discounts to Subscribers ‍After ⁣Nationwide Internet Outage

KT ⁢and SK Broadband have ‍announced a discount‍ on⁤ one month’s usage fees for small business subscribers following a nationwide wired Internet outage on‍ the 5th.

Individual subscribers will also receive a reduced usage fee for Internet and IPTV services, equivalent to one day and 10 times the ⁣amount of downtime experienced.

The discount will be automatically applied⁢ to the next month’s bill, eliminating the need for a separate application ⁢process.

A recent nationwide⁣ wired Internet outage occurred⁢ from 4:57 PM to 9:58 PM on the 5th, causing inconvenience to some subscribers using KT ‌and SK Broadband.

An investigation revealed that the outage was caused by connection failures in some Mercury wireless routers (APs) installed by the two companies during AhnLab’s firewall replacement process.
