Lady Gaga recently expressed deep concern regarding the impact of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) actions on American families and communities.
Speaking publicly, Gaga voiced distress over the targeting of children and families by ICE, stating that their lives were being “destroyed right in front of us.” She specifically referenced the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti,an ICU nurse,by ICE agents in Minnesota,and the resulting fear within the community.
Gaga, who is scheduled too perform in Minnesota in April, emphasized the loss of safety and belonging experienced by residents.She urged leaders to listen to the struggles of individuals seeking well-being and respect, stating, “Good people shouldn’t have to fight so hard and risk their lives.”
As of January 30, 2026, the shooting of Alex Pretti remains under investigation. the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) is leading the investigation, and no charges have been filed as of this date.
