It is learned that the name of the minister’s son is also in the FIR filed by the police in the Lakhimpur case. According to the FIR, Ashish Mishra was in the vehicle which crashed into the farmers. The FIR also states that he fired at the crowd. With this, Union Minister Ajay Mishra’s claim that his son was not at the scene was refuted.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi has been denied permission to visit Lakhimpur but is preparing for a visit. The UP government has rejected a visit to Lakhimpur Kheri and Lucknow citing a ban.

Priyanka Gandhi is still at the police station in Sitapur. Priyanka’s arrest was recorded last day. Priyanka is adamant that she will not return without visiting Lankhipur Kheri. The protest will continue till the alleged Union Minister resigns.
