Boucheron has unveiled its latest high jewellery collection, Histoire de Style 2026, which pays direct tribute to the maison’s pioneering founder, Frédéric Boucheron. The collection, titled “Nom: Boucheron Prénom: Frédéric,” reinterprets archival pieces from the brand’s heritage, drawing inspiration from an 1884 Question Mark necklace discovered in the maison’s archives.
Creative Director Claire Choisne led the design of the 28 new creations, which blend historical references with contemporary innovation. One central piece is a pendant that reimagines the original Question Mark necklace, now featuring eight diamonds that highlight its iconic form while adapting it for modern wear.
The collection reflects Boucheron’s ongoing commitment to merging heritage with forward-thinking design. As described in the maison’s presentation, the pieces are conceived to be worn in innovative ways, allowing nature-inspired motifs to interact dynamically with the body and blur the boundaries between jewellery and the wearer’s form.
Heritage as a Living Archive
By revisiting founder Frédéric Boucheron’s legacy, the Histoire de Style 2026 collection positions the maison’s history not as a static record but as a source of continuous creative evolution. The archive photograph of the 1884 Question Mark necklace served as the direct catalyst for Choisne’s reinterpretation, demonstrating how historical artifacts inform current design directions at Boucheron.

Nature and Form in Contemporary Jewellery
In line with Boucheron’s recent artistic direction, the Histoire de Style 2026 collection continues to explore the relationship between organic forms and the human body. The designs assert nature’s presence through fluid, evolving shapes that appear to grow over and around the wearer, reinforcing the maison’s vision of high jewellery as a living, adaptive art form.
Context within Boucheron’s Recent Work
This release follows Boucheron’s 2025 “Untamed Nature” Histoire de Style collection, which similarly emphasized natural motifs taking precedence over traditional jewellery structures. The 2026 collection builds on that theme by anchoring its innovation in specific historical references, showing how the maison balances progression with reverence for its origins.
