Netflix released the film, directed by Emre Kabakuşak and written by Pelin Karamehmetoğlu on February 11, 2022. The 98-minute feature stars Demet Özdemir as Aslı, a 28-year-old chief stylist and relationship blogger, and Şükrü Özyıldız as Kerem, a 30-year-old advertising executive who makes a wager to win back a work project.
The Plot Mechanics of Love Tactics
Aslı runs a blog called Love Tactics where she doles out romance advice to subscribers, while Kerem does not believe in love at all. A follower challenges Aslı to actually test her own advice in the real world, and Kerem bets his colleague Tuna that he can make someone fall in love with him. During a party, the pair unknowingly target each other for their respective challenges.
The early phase of the film relies on engineered chance encounters, such as an unexpected run-in at a professional gathering, a shared taxi ride, and an abandoned cardigan left behind as a pretext for contact. Once the narrative shifts to Cappadocia, the pacing slows down as supporting characters enter the fold. Servet, played by Özgür Ozan, arrives as Aslı’s new business associate, prompting both leads to spark jealousy by flirting with other dinner guests.

quieter moments in Cappadocia
The strongest material in the script centers on understated character interactions away from the central wager. Kerem takes Aslı to a childhood spot in Cappadocia and shares that his father died when he was young, later bringing her to a pottery basement to model a small vase. At his home, he cooks dinner and projects a film in the garden, triggering the automated sprinklers just as the characters on screen kiss in the rain.
Another key sequence involves an old piano that Kerem and his mother used to play together. Because of her departure, he keeps the instrument out of fear of letting her go while refusing to let anyone else touch it out of lingering resentment. The feature largely rushes past these character beats to return to its standard rom-com mechanics.
