Riyadh: 3rd Navodaya Global Travels Carrom Tournament Ends with Exciting Competition
The 3rd Navodaya Global Travels Carrom Tournament in Riyadh concluded with a thrilling doubles competition, where the Latif-Shamseer team emerged as the champions. The tournament witnessed the participation of 12 teams that battled it out based on the International Carrom Rules.
In an intense final match, Vasiyerya Kalasha fought valiantly against Team Latif-Shamseer (Friends Forever) and Team Shams-Aasif (Football). However, he tasted defeat, losing by five, six, and four points respectively in the one-sided sets.
As the victors of the competition, the Latif-Shamseer team will be awarded a cash prize of Riyals 1001 and a trophy from Global Travels. The distinguished presence of Innovation Secretary Ravindran Payyannoor, President Vikramalal, and Convenor Shaju Pathanapuram added grandeur to the award ceremony where they personally handed over the trophy and cash prize.
The second-place team, ST Courier, managed by R Nuruddin, also received recognition for their outstanding performance. They received a trophy and a cash prize of 501 Riyal.
The highly-anticipated Nuruddin Udghata Tournament, hosted at Batha Safa Makkah Polyclinic, witnessed the presence of esteemed personalities such as Shaiju Pacha (Riyadh Talkies), Ratheesh (Shifa Malayali Samajam), Vikramala, Ravindran Payyannoor, Sriraj, Gopinath, Mridun, Ani Muhammad, and Kummil Sudhir Kings.
