Beirut: In crisis-hit Lebanon, a woman pointed a gun at bank officials to withdraw money from her account. The woman held the bank officers hostage by pointing a gun, pouring petrol on her body and threatening to kill herself. The money was then withdrawn from the account.

Lebanon is going through a serious financial crisis. In the meantime, the second incident of officers being held hostage in the bank took place. The woman first resorted to legal means to withdraw the money from her account. But when the bank did not allow her to withdraw the money from the account, reports say that the young woman chose the method of violence.

The girl needed the money for her sister’s cancer treatment. But when the bank was not ready to pay the money, the woman was forced to hold the officers hostage, according to reports. The woman was later arrested.
