The results of a public opinion poll were released on the 13th and show that Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myeong and People Power Party candidate Won Hee-ryong are locked in a close race within the margin of error in Gyeyang-eul, Incheon. Gyeyang-eul, Incheon, is an area that is attracting attention from government and opposition parties as the clash between the leader of the main opposition party and former government minister Seok-yeol Yoon took place.

YTN commissioned public opinion polling agency Embrain Public to conduct a public opinion survey of 500 men and women aged over 18 living in Gyeyang-eul, Incheon, using telephone interviews for two days starting from 9. As a result, candidate Lee Jae-myung obtained 42% and candidate Won Hee-ryong 42%, obtaining 39% support. This is a close match within the margin of error (±4.4% p).

Among so-called “active voters” who said they will definitely vote in this election, the gap narrowed further to 46% for candidate Lee and 44% for candidate Won. By age group, many voters in their 40s and 50s supported this candidate, while the winning candidate received high support from those 60 and older. Among thirty-year-olds the result was similar, while among twenty-year-olds more than half of the “floating group” said they had no candidate to support or did not know.

In the virtual clash in Seongnam Bundang, Gyeonggi province, the candidate of the People Power Party Ahn Cheol-soo (45%) was ahead of the candidate of the Democratic Party Lee Kwang-jae (36%) outside the margin of error (±4 .4% points). New Reform Party candidate Ryu Ho-jeong had 2%.

Of those surveyed who would definitely vote, 45% said they would vote for candidate Ahn and 42% for candidate Lee, predicting that the two candidates would face a close race.

In Seoul middle schools and Seongdong-gap, Democratic Party candidate Jeon Hyun-hee recorded 35 percent and People Power Party candidate Yoon Hee-sook 31 percent. It’s a close battle within the margin of error. However, 31% of voters said they did not support any candidate or did not know.

In Yangsan-eul, Gyeongsangnam-do, where the head-to-head battle between Gyeongnam governors took place, Democratic Party candidate Kim Doo-gwan had 41 percent and People Power Party candidate Kim Tae-ho had 34 percent. Among active voters, the gap widened slightly, with 48% for candidate Kim Doo-gwan and 39% for candidate Kim Tae-ho.

In this survey, Embrain Public conducted a telephone interview with 507 voters living in Bundang-gap, Gyeonggi-do, 501 voters from Middle and Seongdong-gap in Seoul for two days starting on the 9th, and 503 voters living in Yangsan , Gyeongnam, on two days starting from the 10th.
