Contrary to expectations that Korea would dominate, the national under-23 football team struggled against China’s strong attacks and counter-attacks from the start of the game.

In the first half, after the team had conceded the lead, the situation was turned around with a powerful right-footed shot by tall 20-year-old striker Lee Young-jun.

In the 34th minute of the first half, when Kang Sang-yoon stabbed the ball between two defenders, Lee Young-jun did not miss the opportunity and scored China’s goal.

However, we were in danger of conceding goals again in the second half.

The uneasy one-goal lead ended on 42 minutes of the second half, and this time, Lee Young-jun’s left foot decided the victory.

Lee Young-Jun, who beat two defenders, hit the net with an accurate left-footed shot aimed at the side of the Chinese goal.

Korea, which defeated China 2-0, confirmed its progress to the quarter-finals with two consecutive victories, and Lee Young-June scored three goals in two games to rise to the top of the scoring rankings.

Young-Jun Lee gave Lee Young-Jun a valuable first win by scoring the winning goal with a header in extra time in the second half of the first match against the United Arab Emirates.

Not only did he make headlines using his height of 193 CM, but he also made his presence known as an all-round striker who could use both feet.
