New Delhi: Dronacharya Award winner and renowned cricket coach Tarak Sinha has passed away. He was 71 years old. Sinha, who was suffering from lung cancer, died in New Delhi on Saturday. As a result of the disease, some of Tarak’s other organs became inactive.
Tarak is the fifth cricket coach to win the Dronacharya award after Desh Prem Azad, Gurucharan Singh, Ramakant Acharekar and Sunita Sharma. In 2018, the country honored him with the award.
He has nurtured cricketers for generations and worked at the Sonnet Cricket Club in New Delhi. Many of the players who grew up playing under the tutelage of the star later shone in the Delhi and Indian teams.
Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant is as respected as his father. When the coach received the Dronacharya award, the ball greeted him on Twitter.
