This triumph marks Leinster’s record-extending ninth URC title, solidifying their dominance in the competition. The Leinster rugby team showcased clinical precision, particularly in the opening stages of the match.
In rainy conditions, Leinster surged ahead with early tries from number eight Jack Conan, center Jordie Barrett, and flanker Josh van der Flier. Fintan Gunne added a late try to cap off Leinster’s outstanding display.the Bulls, based in Pretoria, suffered another setback, losing their third URC final in the last four years. Despite entering as underdogs against a Leinster team featuring players from the British & Irish Lions squad, the Bulls struggled to contain the Irish side.

Scrumhalf Luke McGrath, a late replacement, executed a chip over the Bulls’ defense, allowing Barrett to score in his final appearance before returning to New Zealand. Van der Flier further compounded the Bulls’ woes by capitalizing on a Leinster driving maul for another try.
Despite spending considerable time in Leinster’s 22, the Bulls’ attack was repeatedly thwarted by Leinster’s strong defensive line, leaving the score at 19-0 at halftime. Sam Prendergast extended Leinster’s lead with a penalty early in the second half. Van der Merwe managed to get the Bulls on the scoreboard after 50 minutes, muscling his way over the tryline.
Leinster quickly regained control, with prendergast adding another penalty before Gunne sealed the victory with a late try. The URC final showcased Leinster’s strength and tactical superiority.
“Credit to them, to be fair that first 40 minutes we were under the pump,” said Bulls coach Jake White. “One thing Leinster do well is they don’t let you chase the game, they are clinical once they get ahead.”
