Lenovo Korea Launches ThinkStation P8: A Powerful Desktop Workstation with AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7000 WX Series Processor

SEOUL–(Newswire)–Lenovo Korea has launched the “ThinkStation P8” desktop workstation, which adds Lenovo’s exceptional reliability and innovation to the cutting-edge computing architecture of AMD and NVIDIA.

Lenovo ‘Thinkstation P8’ desktop workstation featuring an AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7000 WX series processor

ThinkStation P8 is equipped with the AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7000 WX series processor that applies the Zen 4 architecture based on a 5-nanometer (nm) process. The ThinkStation P8 supports up to 96 cores and 192 threads, the highest single socket count, for complex rendering and visual effects, as well as data-intensive tasks such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflow, software development projects, and product life cycle management. It is also ideal for media and entertainment industries that can handle workloads.

Like the Think Station product line launched last year, it uses a chassis designed in collaboration with British luxury sports car brand Aston Martin. The sleek, rugged, rack-optimized chassis offers Platinum-level power options to handle even more demanding expansion capacities. It supports up to three NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada Generation and AMD Radeon Pro GPUs, providing the performance needed for demanding AI workloads, such as data science using large-scale language models (LLMs), generative AI, and visualization via intelligence artificial. It can also reduce working time for graphics-intensive applications such as real-time ray tracing, video rendering, simulation, and computer-aided design (CAD).

Excellent flexibility and expandability are also features of the ThinkStation P8. It provides a total of 7 PCIe slots, including 6 PCI Gen 5 slots that increase connection speed and expandability. You can install up to 7 M.2 PCIe Gen 4 SSDs with RAID support, up to 3 HDDs for high-capacity storage, and up to 2TB of DDR5 memory supporting octa-channels. Built-in 10GB Ethernet eliminates network bottlenecks. Users can directly set detailed specifications on optimal components and easily replace components without additional tools.

ThinkStation P8 can monitor onboard hardware via ThinkStation diagnostic software. Lenovo Performance Tuner supports ISV (independent software vendor) application optimization. Security has been improved with Lenovo ThinkShield Security Service, which provides comprehensive protection from BIOS to the cloud.

Shin Kyu-sik, CEO of Lenovo Korea, said: “As workflows become more complex and data-intensive tasks increase, experts such as architects, engineers, visual artists and AI model developers are looking of powerful and reliable workstations.” “Powerful performance and excellent scalability. Designed to deliver, ThinkStation P8 will open up new possibilities for professional tasks such as virtual reality (AR) and augmented reality (VR) content creation and the development of advanced artificial intelligence models, and accelerate change that generative artificial intelligence will bring.” He added, “With the industry’s broadest portfolio of AMD workstations, we expect to support customers from entry-level to high-end performance.”
