The Chicago white Sox made roster adjustments Tuesday, reinstating infielder Lenyn Sosa from the 10-day injured list. Sosa,recovering from a right hip flexor strain,completed a rehab assignment with the Triple-A charlotte Knights before rejoining the team.
To make room for Sosa, the White Sox optioned Brooks Baldwin to Charlotte. additionally, pitcher Fraser Ellard, sidelined as May, will begin his own rehab stint with the Knights.
Lenyn Sosa, a key player for the White Sox, last played on June 2 against the Detroit Tigers.This season, he is batting.274 with four home runs and 17 RBIs in 201 at-bats. He will play first base and bat seventh in Tuesday’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals.
brooks Baldwin has appeared in 47 games for Chicago, hitting .211 with three home runs and 16 RBIs. He has recorded 41 strikeouts in 133 at-bats.
