Leo is a football hero, but he needs luck to win the World Cup: Iniesta

There are only 10 days left for the Qatar World Cup, which the world is waiting for. History will describe the Qatar World Cup as the last World Cup played by Argentine legend Lionel Messi.

The actor had earlier indicated that he would retire from international competitions through this tournament.

Although he has worn big boots for many clubs, fans prefer to see Messi in the Argentinian shirt.

When Messi announced that he might not play another World Cup, fans flocked to the venue to express their sadness.

Andre Iniesta, former Barcelona star and Spanish midfielder, has given his opinion on this matter. He said that Lionel Messi is a football legend and if he wants to win the World Cup, luck will help him.

In an interview with Mathrubhumi, he spoke about his friend and teammate Messi.

‘Leo is a football legend who has played in four World Cups so far but never won one. The closest he came to the World Cup was in 2014 when Argentina reached the final. Along with the game, we need luck and the support of the team,’ said Iniesta.

Meanwhile, Argentina’s first match is against Saudi Arabia on November 26. Mexico and Poland are the other teams in Group C along with Argentina. Argentina will face Mexico on November 27 and Poland on December 1.
