Lewis Hamilton demoted 5 grids due to engine replacement / F1 Brazilian GP[F1-Gate .com]

Lewis Hamilton replaced the engine at the F1 Brazilian Grand Prix this weekend. 5 grid demotion penalty has been decided.

The Mercedes F1 is fighting engine reliability issues that affected the 2021 F1 power unit and decided to equip Lewis Hamilton’s machine with a new ICE (internal engine) at the F1 Brazilian Grand Prix.

This is Lewis Hamilton’s fifth ICU element and will be penalized with a five-grid demotion in the final on Sunday.

Lewis Hamilton was penalized for 10 grid demotion for launching his fourth engine at the 16th round of the F1 Turkish Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton has a 19-point behind in the championship after Max Verstappen (Red Bull Honda) won the F1 Mexican Grand Prix in the previous race.

There are still 107 points left in the remaining four races, but the difference could be even greater by the end of the weekend with an additional five grid demotion at Interlagos, which is in favor of Red Bull Honda. The situation is tough for Lewis Hamilton.

At the F1 Brazilian Grand Prix, where the third sprint qualifying will be held in F1, the top three drivers will be given an additional 3-2-1 points in the 100km race on Saturday.
