Berghaus Revives Oasis-Era Meru Jacket for Reunion Tour
As Oasis prepares for their highly anticipated “Live ’25” reunion tour, Berghaus is capitalizing on the moment by re-releasing a piece of Britpop history: the Meru Mountain Jacket.Liam Gallagher famously wore the waterproof jacket during Oasis’s 1997 world tour.
Originally designed for mountaineering, the Meru jacket gained unexpected fame when Gallagher sported the red-and-blue outerwear on stage in Oslo in 1997. The look remains iconic.
now, Berghaus is reissuing the Meru in it’s original color scheme, alongside new purple/gray and green/black versions. The Meru, part of the brand’s new concert Collection, features updated materials and construction while retaining its signature style. The jacket retails for £290.
The Concert Collection also includes the Trango Jacket (£400), a 90s favorite known for its GORE-TEX construction, and the 1997 Fleece (£120), a vintage-inspired fleece jacket.
