At 11 o’clock last night, a report was received that two middle school girls were sexually assaulted by foreigners and then kept in this hotel.

The police arrived immediately, but foreign men locked the door and survived.

Eventually, about 10 minutes later, the police opened the door with the hotel’s emergency key and entered and arrested two men.

“There were about four police cars, and the strong men… It was so noisy I wondered if there was some kind of gang fight.”

These were African citizens of Liberia who traveled to Busan to attend an international event organized by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.

Two Liberian foreigners have been accused of bringing two women they met at a nearby subway station to the hotel and raping them.

These men, in their 50s and 30s, respectively, claimed immunity.

He said he had a diplomatic passport after being sent from Liberia to the UK, and had come to Korea to attend the event.

However, as he was not granted diplomatic status by Korea, the privilege of immunity was not recognized, and he was immediately sent to a detention facility.

The police intend to apply for an arrest warrant as soon as the investigation into the circumstances of their crime has been completed.
