Life jacket “unopened” Hozugawa boatman dies

On the 30th, the life jacket of the boatman who was found in the river and confirmed dead in the accident where the “Hozugawa-kudari” boat ended up in Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture was found not to be open.

According to the police, during the search on the 30th, Masaru Seki (40), a boatman who was missing in the water about 400 meters downstream from the scene, was found and confirmed dead.

Two people died in the accident.

Seki was wearing a manual life jacket around his waist, but it was not open when he was found.
